Bernama has lodged a police report, over the spreading of a false news report under its name, via SMS. The text message had stated that 7 Barisan Nasional component parties would hold a PC to announce its decision to pull out of the ruling coalition. The senior manager of the department which supervises the news flow on Bernama's SMS news service, filed the complaint in KL last night. --- Meanwhile, the Information Minister has urged the public not to be taken in by the false report. ...

Malaysia is not likely to see another round of high inflation, after it peaked at 8.5 percent in July. The Finance Ministry says our country is currently facing a one-off cost-push inflation, brought on by higher prices of oil and commodities worldwide.
