Adibah Amin
Glimpses

Following hot on the heels of the bestselling As I Was Passing and As I Was Passing II is yet another anecdotal gem from a name that has become synonymous with Malaysia and Malaysiana. Glimpses is a montage of Adibah Amin's insightful observations on the contradictory and colourful eccentricities in the everyday habits of Malaysians, before and after the millennium.

Although seemingly more outspoken and individualistic compared to their earlier counterparts, Malaysians in the millennium have not shed the unique traits that define them - Malaysians still balik kampung, flock to the airport to see someone off, enjoy bargaining, call strangers 'uncle' and 'auntie,' and give a big makan to jaga their faces but also because of their naturally hospitable nature.

Glimpses will provoke laughter and reflections as Adibah truly captures the Malaysian spirit in its wry honesty, making us realise that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
